About Our Musical Class

Positive, Uplifting and Cheerful!

Now what is Vocal Motion Musicals? We are a community theater, but the best part is, it's just for kids! Our goal is to create a home away from home where kids can explore their talents, gain confidence in their skills, and have fun doing it!

Each show we accept 52 students in our 10 yrs and older class and 24 students in our 5-9yrs class. We wish we could accept every child who would want to participate but in order to create a program that is a safe place where we can give our students a great experience we must stick to our capacity limits and we appreciate you all understanding! In order to make sure things are fair, we honor the first come first serve order of registration, so set your alarms! I cannot make any acceptions and I cannot hold any spots for anyone. We are so humbled by how much our program is growing and appreciate the support over the many years.

Each year is made up of two semesters; August through December starts us off with our Fall musical, and January through June for a Spring musical, and we hope in the future a Summer Camp held for one week in the summer.  We have two class levels; Ages 5-9 and Ages 10 and up. Typically, these age groups come at different times of rehearsal; the younger group the first hour, all ages the second hour, and the older group the last hour. However, if your child does have a lead role or a speaking part, it may require them to come at different times or for all three hours. Every child will receive a role in the production. The first day of class we will hold auditions to assign the show roles! Audition packets are emailed out after registration is completed.

Since we consider this a class setting, this program is tuition based.

Semester Supply/Registration Fee $25.00

1st Child: $70 per month

2nd Child: $60 per month

3rd Child: $50 per month

late fee after the 15th of each month: $10.00

It is 70.00 a month per child and if there are multiple children in one family, it is ten dollars

off every other child, for example the second child would be 60.00 The funds that are received, primarily go right back into the program so that we can provide your child with the best opportunity to learn acting, music, and dance skills and be able to combine them into a show that they are proud of. This includes the rights to the show, scripts, music, props, costumes, sets, etc, the whole shebang! We do also require a 25.00 registration/supply fee at the beginning of the first month. This registration fee provides your child’s Musical t-shirt and practice CDs. Payments can be made through Venmo @Kaelyn-Stucki or Zelle.

Tuition is due monthly regardless of how many individual classes are held that month. Our classes meet every week! Often times, there are holidays that land on Mondays; we like to still hold class because rehearsal time is precious. We typically meet 14-16 times during the semester including classes, dress rehearsals and performances.

For rehearsal and shows we do require black jazz shoes. They can wear whatever they want to rehearsals as long as they are comfortable moving in it! No street shoes will be allowed on the studio floor.

During rehearsal time, the owner of the studio we rent from has requested that it is a closed rehearsal. Meaning that parents and family members cannot be in the studio during rehearsal times unless there are special circumstances. This is due to not only studio capacity but also for the safetly of your children. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please let me know. T

there is also a no food policy, only water in water bottles is allowed.

At the end of the semester, your child will be able to apply what they have learned at our performances! As the show nears, we will have a tech rehearsal and a dress rehearsal leading up to the real deal! These will be held at our performance venue, Spanish Springs High School Theater. The children will perform get to perform four times, giving every family member and friends the opportunity to come watch! Times and details will be sent out when the time comes!

If you have ANY questions, we are just a hop and a skip away. You can reach us by phone or email. Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. We can't wait to get started.

Love, Ms. Kaelyn and Mr. Chandler
